In the morning we depart Hanoi for 3.5-hour drive to Mai Chau. Following is lunch in Lac village, we drive to Sa Linh from where we commence a 3-hour trek to Hang Kia, where you can catch the images of many villages of Mong ethnic people, corn fields, plum forests, and tea hills. Homestay at Hang Kia village.
Day 2: Mai Chau Discovery: Hang Kia – Van Village (20km) (B, L, D)
Today we get well and truly off the beaten track as we trek through tropical rain forest. Arrive at Van village by late afternoon. Van is home to the Thai people, we spend the night in a traditional house to discover local cultures of Mai Chau people.
Day 3: Mai Chau Discovery: Van Village – Pom Coong Village (25km) (B, L, D)
After breakfast, today we will have 6-hour trek to Pom Coong, a village belongs to white Thai people. While we go trekking, we can enjoy many picturesque Thai villages. On the way, we will stop at Xo village for our picnic lunch. We arrive at Pom Coong village in the late afternoon. Overnight in homestay.
Day 4: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)
In the morning we take a pleasant walk to some nearby village, we also have a chance to visit Mai Chau market where you can buy some souvenirs and handicraft products that are specialties of Mai Chau district.
Have lunch in the village and head back to Hanoi in the afternoon. The trip concludes in your hotel in Hanoi.

Meals
- If you have any specific food requirements (vegetarian, vegan, food allergies) please inform us in advance so that we can provide notice to our cook and local people so that they can serve you better.
- We will have a cook (local people) go with us and cook for us until Poong Coon Village. The cook will prepare pick nick lunches and accompany us the whole time in Mai Chau.

Accommodation
Please be advised that the local homestay is not the hotel and the homestay is exactly in the condition how the local people live. The homestay has a squat toilet and no shower. It is very basic. We always try to choose the clean enough homestay to offer our clients. But please do not expect too much at a local homestay.
